Aren't the Liver Birds on top of a towery thing? Ages since I've been to Liverpool.
I found this online.
It is called The Rose Tower, I kid you not.
It certainly comes close for me.
I can't find a picture because its not important enough to be anywhere on the internet, but in a town about 20 minutes from me theres a gigantic.. well it looks like a smoke stack to me anyway, that you can see clearly from anywhere around.
Theres my
(lame)
contribution. Lol.
I think this is my first post here, but we have a tower around here that reminds me of The DT.
A friend of mine did a really cool Photoshop of that same tower, complete with a field of roses.
Welcome to the site, ///Ficarra. Great to have you join us. That is a cool tower. Can I ask where it is located?
Naperville, IL. It's called Moser tower. Info here: http://www.naperville-carillon.org/
Saw this while we were at Luray Caverns over the weekend and thought it looked like the Dark Tower.
Oh.. Gan. I'm not going anywhere near that place. CREEPY. But a great video, thanks for sharing! (I'm afraid I'll have nightmares tonight. *shudder*)
"...neither the stupid jokes nor the easy surface emotions were the truth of Cuthbert Allgood."
That cemetery looks beautiful. Really. I might be a pervert to say that but I think cemeteries that are cared of can be really nice and peaceful. This one is very good example.
Thank you for sharing.
Roland would have understood.
Bears love cemeteries! This one was great, too, and so was the Tower - wish it was taller, though.
Ask not what bears can do for you, but what you can do for bears. (razz)
When one is in agreement with bears one is always correct. (mae)
bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coincidence? I think not!
The answer is within
all matter is energy, all energy is GOD
I DO love cemeteries. I would dwell in them, if I could. In fact, I cried like a baby when I visited Tolkien's and C.S. Lewis' graves in Oxford. But that pointing thing just creeped me. Too uncanny to be true

Sooo...I found this world's version of the Tower. Complete with field of flowers. Not roses, but red nonetheless.
I had to take a photo with me in it too.
the closest thing ive ever found to the tower itself was more along the lines of its metaphysical aspects
When I was 11 years old, a kid in elementary school, I got kicked in the head while playing soccer
It knocked me out and I was told that I was out for like 30 seconds but I remember seeing just DARKNESS, endless and empty and forever
years and years later, the reading passage about rolands vision at the end of the gunslinger struck an extra nerve in me because of that
if the worlds gonna end then let's get it over with, i got shit to do
