Just saw the new Grant newsletter and I will be putting my name into the lottery for a DE and AE LSOE!!! Excited that it is opened to everyone finally!
where is the best place to pick up a blank "postcard"?
In a book,in a box,high upon a shelf
In a locked a guarded vault
Are things I keep only for myself
Its your fate, but its not your fault
Wait, what? It's open to everybody? Or just people holding higher number DT VII's?
Congrats to Greg (Welcome!) and to Mr. R.T. on receiving their books.
I wish mine had a KA symbol sketchy-doodle like Rahfa's.
Patrick - New email newsletter today says it's open to us all now...
... postcard sales will likely double !

Yeah, but nothing is going to happen until I get back from maternity leave!
Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.
That's fine with me!
I suddenly have a chance!
That's more than I had before I got the email!

Pre-stamped post cards can be bought at just about any Post Office.
John
I predict it will be quite some time before we see another remarqued AE.
Cool, thanks.
RF is probably right, it may be a long while. I guess it adds to the mystery!
I am thrilled to be joining the lottery. That new computer will be going on hold just in case.
I should have clarified my prediction.
Two or less new books with remarques (original art) will appear before 1/01/2010.
Both will quickly be sold.
Got my artist ed. #1431 today, no remarque.
But it is a beutiful book.

Actually, I was under the impression that "sketchy-doodle" was a term that sort of got made up for drawings that were NOT actual remarques ( Ka symbols, Crimson King eyes ) .... so it's was not really describing a remarque at all. Hmmmm.

Part of an e-mail that I received from Audrey late last night with regard to remarques done by Michael. It's not crystal clear, but adds some flavor at least.
"I am gathering that some of the DT.com folks may still have confusion about just how many of everything there are and that Michael did the Ka symbols and remarques completely without Robert’s knowledge. I know you have stated it fairly clearly, but in case there are still hard feelings, he should clarify it himself. This may have helped Robert’s sales, but he honestly knew nothing about it ahead of time and could not have advertised it in advance as someone suggested. He didn’t know about it until Michael was doing them! People are so funny…they see a conspiracy around every corner! "
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Hard feelings?!?
Who had hard feelings about anything MW did?
Surely not me... anything MW adds, just frosting on the cake... Wonderful, sketchy frosting!

I don't fully understand all the references, and as I said, it was PART of an e-mail I got, but I am not at liberty to post the whole thing as there are some parts meant just for me. So take it for what it's worth and don't read too much into it.

Understood completely!
( just hoping MW knows how much we appreciate every little "extra" he might add )

I don't understand that email at all...I have no idea what she's talking about. Conspiracy? To do what?
I think it's a conspiracy to get us talking about conspiracies!
I saw it in a movie once !

I think with something as highly collectible as this special remarque, there are bound to be some crossed wires. I think the overall feeling is..."man! I wish I could have one because that is cool as shit!!"
Anything that generates interest in Michael's amazing work is a good thing imo, he sure deserves the recognition and hubub. He and Audrey have both been wonderful friends to the site.
The kindness of close friends is like a warm blanket
I think mayhap a conspiracy to see more books by mentioning that there are remarks in them. That could be it, but I could be wrong.
Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.
I'm with wiz on the "cool as shit" aspect.
I have two, with no sketchy-doodles or remarques... and I'm thinking of a third, just for another shot at it.
And I put my postcard in the mail this morning for my shot at the lottery!
