Im with CPU, went Boehmke though I was torn between theirs and Lisa's. I love how Gretchie tossed in the 'ake'. No Heather this time?!?!? I always enjoy her drawings...

"As for gunslingers, Roland," Cuthbert says, "I am here. And we are the last."
When two fit, it makes you think
I got the cute one, my woman
She says, "Lovin's all I bring"
And it's her loving that's a wonderful thing.
Lovin' yes we are, it's such a wonderful thing
When two fit it makes you think
See us both in the black
She lays on me so relaxed.

What a race!
By the way, Sir Boome, Thing is awesome - and awesome name! John Carpenter's The Thing is my #1 horror movie of all time.

It'll take a lot more than words and guns,
A whole lot more than riches and muscle.
The hands of the many must join as one.
And together we'll cross the river.

I had to eenie-meenie-miney-mo to pick.

Truly, I do love them all.
Like I said, I picked Darkthoughts, with boehmke being a close second.
To me, though, boehmke's Oy looks too... I don't know... happy, I guess.
Congrats to all, regardless.

WOW! what a close contest... all tied up at 15.
who's going to step up and be the tie breaker?
thanks woofer, my "Thing" is awesome
my 14 year old collie that died a couple of years ago was named "It". I was reading king's "IT" when he was born...on friday the 13th - so i named him "It's Friday the 13th"...aka "It" for short.
anyway, dean koontz was signing his new book "The Husband" about 2 1/2 years ago, so i got him to sign a copy to me... and sign a copy to my collie. shortly after that, "It" passed away. four months later i got another dog from the animal shelter... and when trying to come up with a name... i reflected back on the koontz inscription below... and the name fit. so king named my collie, and koontz named my current pup.
i think it's kinda funny koontz also inscribed his book to a major evil king character.
i broke the tie!! i voted for Lisa! hey, someone voted for mine... must have been Tiffany
Human kind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one and only truth.
With 5 more days of voting, this could go anywhere.

Darkers. She has the feel of Oy for me. I never thought he looked so dog-like and Lisa's picture is the closest to the Oy in my head.
It's too close I'm gonna pee my pants.
I just like the fact that you're on 19 votes...it'd be cool to win on that number
aww...you're losing...
NO, I am vote for me ....come on , cant I even get a pity vote ?
Just kidding...I didnt even vote for me!!
The answer is within

Thanks turtlex glad you enjoy the art
See you this weekend Daghain. I'll be the one with a sketch book hiding behind Hannah.
Well after much deliberation I went with Lisa's. It was a very tough choice. I did love boehmke's though, and I think if you combine the two together you'd get what I imagined Oy as in my head.
Only the gentle are ever really strong.

A quick off-topic, but related question: do any of you use gimp for your artwork?
I tend to draw with pencil, then over again with pen as I find it difficult to draw with a mouse. I then scan it in, and fill and colour on the computer. Trouble is all my black ink pen work comes out grey on the scan. I've been trying to work out an easy way to blacken it all. (I like drawing with black outlines, comic-style.) Fill tool doesn't work as there are jaggies, and the grey colour isn't uniform.
I could use the burn tool to darken everything with a brush, but if there's a quicker way that'd be nice.
Since this isn't relate strictly to this contest, please feel free to PM me or point me to a thread elsewhere.
