Thought about ordering the art portfolio but passed. It's 5 years and counting since I ordered the book itself. Who knows when it will actually be delivered, and who knows how much longer after that before the art portfolio would arrive. I waited 8 years for The Summoning. I just can't abide even the thought of having to wait past 2030 for delivery of something.
Alright, we'll call it a draw.
Speaking of which, I got my Summoning. Not my matching number.Looking for 460. Got 203 if needed by someone will trade.
Looking for FAB8 CD Number 439
Got my CD copy of The Shining signed by Danny Lloyd this morning. Nice guy. He mentioned that someone is putting together a book about the making of the movie. His parents have provided some photos etc. Didn't recognize the name, though. He says he has never met King which is interesting.
Maybe this... www.taschen.com/stanley-kubrick-s-the-shining

Yep - just looked at the newsletter - from CP: "We're getting within a four to six months or so of hitting the print button on our reprint of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining in our Studies in the Horror Film series"
Wanted:

I suspect it may be this one:

By jove, I think you've got it!

This one has already been produced.
Mondo did an "exclusive" variant in december : https://mondoshop.com/products/the-s...-7-inch-bundle
I personnally think that Danny Lloyd was likely talking about Lee Unknrich's book produced with Taschen as Brian pointed out earlier :
https://www.taschen.com/en/limited-e...-s-the-shining
I've seen one the other day at a Paris launch event. And it's quite comprehensive and interesting. Worth 1500 usd?
Not for me
Lee did say on instagram that there will be a cheaper version, later down the line.
I guess of the main book in the project, not the entire thing.
During the event, on friday, they were selling it claiming that it may be sold out soonish.
Sales pitch, but.... they were saying that half of them are gone. And this past weekend there was an event in Los Angeles (Academy Museum of Motion Pictures) with 700 tickets sold, and hoping most of the attendees would buy one as well
(But, at the moment, Taschen still have some on their website)

I got the impression it was a book yet to be published. So it may be the $1500 one. There must be a lot of disposable income in the US if that is the case. Lloyd was also charging $50 for his signature and another $20 for his picture. btw: if I understood correctly Shelley DuVall is in a new movie. The first one in many years. It would be great if she gets back in acting.
What is the limitation of the CD "The Stand" portfolio?
THe newsletter and product page says it's "limited" but do not give a printrun
I believe that the "Night Shift" one was 750 copies

But CD products are so limited, even the people who order them and pay for them can’t get ‘em.
If I am remembering correctly this is the third update to be postdated. If I were to take a guess, I think they would like it to look like they are updating more frequently. To be honest the information on the page is so generic and incorrect as to render the page useless. The last update had the magazine at the printer with a ship date of the second half of February, now it is not even mentioned. The current update has two books (The Girl Who Builds Monsters - Limited and Seasons of Terror) as very likely for 2022.

CD did indeed remove the 350; think the reason might be the portfolio kept selling (it's still not sold-out, and with only 350 available that doesn't really make sense) so they decided to life the 350 ban. I'd definitely get in touch with CD and ask if they can match your AE-numbered. I did, but then my number was below 350.
sk
it always bothers me when a limit is changed to a larger print run. A smaller print run ( as advertised) meant higher collectability, If I buy something limited to 350 and then find that limitation changed I feel bamboozled , lured by a low run only to have that change. Other publishers have done this ( Borderlands I am staring directly at YOU) . Just for the record, I did not buy the portfolio anyway, just saying. I don't like it no sir
