I want to be excited about this but it ain't happening (this artwork doesn't do much for me, and although PSP has done a few things I like, they generally aren't to my taste).
DS is such a special item in King's catalogue; I really wish it had been tackled by just about anyone else (Centipede, Suntup, CD).

Agree with all the above. It really needed a suntup tteatment……
WANTED:
Any DT S/L’s #181
I agree the artwork leaves a lot to be desired. I know in the past PS has responded to fan criticism of the art to change things before publication. Skeleton Crew had two covers due to complaints about the original design, I think there was an earlier case too. Perhaps with enough negative comments they could change artists or request new art.

Over the years, I've recommended several King novels and short stories to my daughter who, while not a fan of his, has at least enjoyed the things I've recommended. I've now recommended everything I can from what I own (I'm missing some key things from the last 20 years, 11/22/63 among them), but the one I've held back on was Different Seasons because I consider it one of the most special things he's done, but I only own DS in a beat-up paperback (I used to own an ordinary hardcover (not a first edition, just a run that was done maybe 20 years ago, with a green dust jacket) but lent it to someone who never returned it).
I held off buying another hardcover and held off pushing her to read it, hoping a special edition would eventually appear one day, and then she could have the reading experience I think DS should be.
I'll still take a look at PSP's final product, but because I'm not expecting much, DS landing with them was particularly disappointing (I have to assume there won't be another DS deluxe for a long time, if ever). Once I see what they've cooked up, I expect I'll start hunting for whatever is best among the various trade hardcover editions out there.

I've had several custom rebound editions of Different Seasons made.
Artwork from Don Maitz, Rachel Readman, Glenn Charbourne, Alex McVey, Darek Kocerek, and one or more others, including the U.S. treasury.
Great art is out there to be found.
Here are a few examples of simple B&W art done by Don Maitz. For a project like this from PS, I'm sure Maitz could provide color images more compelling than what I have seen.
The Body:
Shawshank Redemption:
Apt Pupil (Notice the swastika in the cigarette smoke):
The Breathing Method (A brilliant interpretation):
I am obviously not in the market for them, but from what i've seen, I personnally consider the PS lettered disappointing.
Yes they have a King sig, but... otherwise it's underwhelming imo

Question to group....#4 PS Lettered.....I was "told" that #1 given to King, #2 and #3 were taken by Pete and Nicky, #4 and later numbers were artist copies or equivalent of PC copies...have I been told right or wrong? Nicky does not know for certain and asking Pete.
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Looking forward to PS DS. Why, because I'd rather see more versions of Kings books than not. And PS wouldn't stop an American publisher from doing their own. But yeah, CD or Suntup are my preferred.

Update and images from today's newsletter.
As we have already hinted we are getting very close to putting up the order page for our next deluxe edition called DIFFERENT SEASONS by Stephen King in a couple of weeks. We're giving you plenty of notice.
We are going to do things slightly differently this time in response to suggestions from regular customers and hopefully remove some of the frustrations of trying to get your order placed through our website when it's at its busiest.
There are a group of customers who have been ordering copies of the deluxe editions since we started these special editions. We do have a list of those numbers and customer names and the next stage is for you to drop me a brief email stating your name and special number/s (if you have had two copies) and whether or not you would like copies of DIFFERENT SEASONS. We’ll make a note and then make sure that a quantity of books is put to one side. Once these are gathered together we will ask you to pay for these separately rather than order on the shopping site when the book is launched. For everyone concerned the book will be £125 plus postage.
A hound will die for you, but never lie to you. And he'll look you straight in the face.
