Dang this is flying.
I'll second Watership Down.
I nominate Superman 1978
I can't believe I am going to be the one to nominate this because it is definitely not my type of movie. However it's better than the more popular 70s movie from them and deserves to be in the tournament.
Monty Python's Life of Brian
1979
Terry Jones
What? Did everyone go to bed? Are you all watching the national championship? (I am but its a blowout.)
I thought I might get a second nomination tonight since I don't have time during the day (except for at lunch.) Oh well.
Paper Moon (1973)
Peter Bogdanovich
Watch trailer:
And I'll second Holy Mountain.
Nom #6
The Deep (1977)
Prime example of why the pg-13 rating needed to be added. Saw this at age 9.
Wanted:
'Salem's Lot Portfolio #606
Fairy Tale UK S/L
Gotcha.
Kenny and Company (1976)
Dir: Don Coscarelli
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
I nominate Phantasm - 1979 - Don Coscarelli
Looking for Suntup Brother ARC and Suntup Seed ARC
Girlfriends (1978)
Claudia Weill
Watch trailer:
Robin Hood 1973
Wolfgang Reitherman
Spoiler:
After this nom I only have 4 left on my list...
Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?
I'll second Fritz the Cat and nominate my own "first X-rated film to watch." Emmanuelle (1974). The original Sylvia Krystel one. Although it was originally released under an "X" rating, it's definitely soft-core erotica rather than porn.
None of the You Tube trailers or clips show what makes the movie special, so no point in linking anything.
I'll second Nashville.
