The Dark Tower screwed Elba from future roles playing a part historically thought of (or already portrayed by) a white actor.

I'm not buying that. If Will Smith didn't already do that with Wild Wild West, then there's still hope.
Honestly, most people had no clue Roland was white in the books. I've still never met anyone in real life that has ever even heard of The Dark Tower books let alone read them. Every time I meet someone and they say they love Stephen King books, I ask them if they have read The Dark Tower series and the answer is always no.

Hard to disagree with that, though I think Skyfall is a better film than Casino Royale, but Casino Royale is a better Bond film than Skyfall...if that makes any sense.

I love both, but I'd give a slight edge to CR. Skyfall suffers from the 'absolutely everything goes the villain's way' syndrome that unfortunately plagues some of my favorite films.
Bardem was great as Bond's antithesis but Mikkelsen as LeChiffre is at the top of the summit of Craig-Bond villains.
Huh, that's interesting. Yeah, maybe. Although I do thing Skyfall is a *very* good Bond film.
I've often thought the Skyfall theme song is not a particularly good song, but I think it's a great Bond theme.
(My problem with Casino Royale is that the entire movie screeches to a halt while the characters play Texas Hold'em. I can't remember how long that scene was ... but it was too long)

What!? The Texas Hold Em' sequences are some of the best parts of the movie! They are the perfect encapsulation of Bond and LeChiffre's cat-and-mouse game.
I love Texas Hold Em so that stuff was great for me though the final hand has about a .00000001% chance of ever happening.

That's a good summary - it's far from flawless, but the set pieces and cinematography are stunning, and there's some nice character stuff as well - not to mention actual stakes.
I thought Craig's portrayal of Bond was a nice blend of the harder-edged character he played in previous films and the traditional Bond role. It was a nice evolution.
Oh, and speaking of cinematography, Roger Deakins was ROBBED at the Oscars that year. The film looked utterly gorgeous, and there were some shots that were incredibly technically difficult to achieve.

This won't be the last film to be delayed. Hollywood has a huge problem on their hands. They have become increasingly dependent on the international box office, especially China. This is going to be an interesting trend to follow for the industry.

That’s looking really good 😃
It's crazy to think that we all should have already seen this film by now.

Now that the Daniel Craig portion of the franchise has come to an end, it's time for me to rank them. This list, outside of #5, might change upon a re-watch.
1. Casino Royale
2. Skyfall
3. No Time to Die
4. Spectre
5. Quantum of Solace

That's my list too, Mike. I'll need to give NTTD another watch to see if it swaps places with No. 2, otherwise it's identical.
