I have tickets this friday to watch Parasite, which is making a huge splash over here. Palme d'Or winner.

I'm seeing it next weekend. Not playing anywhere close so a little travel but not too bad.
You both can fuck off.

I'm hoping it opens here this weekend so I can have myself a successful double feature with The Lighthouse. Won't know until tomorrow though.

I'm looking forward to The Lighthouse. It's finally opening wide so maybe this weekend. Not many good showtimes, though. I have a feeling it'll be gone (or at least have severely limited showtimes) in a week or two.

The hype is real, cannot wait.
I've pretty much stayed away from everything. Obviously, I know all the hype and buzz it's generating, but that's about it.

Classic movies will be becoming more and more relevant for those of us participating in the Great Movie Tournament. We're finishing with the 1970s and the '60s are next, and next year we will be diving into the '50s and '40s, and finally will end things in 2023 with the '30s and '20s. Movies have been around for more than a century and I feel it's a mistake to not watch "old" movies because of their age. If anything, they are more fascinating now as time machines, often allowing us to experience things we no longer can. HBO Max is a great outlet to fill in your gaps with classics, and starting today they're hosting the 2021 TCM Fest:
