I give up. They don't take Paypal and I won't give my credit card number overseas, because it was hacked once.

My newest acquisition, the rarest book in my collection and certainly the most unique.
I've been after this one for quite a while. I have a lot of lettered editions of Ketchum's work. The ones published by Cemetery Dance and Gauntlet Press were easy enough to find, but this one proved more elusive. I had the numbered edition (in itself a beautiful book, bound in red leather and enclosed in a massive traycase), but a few weeks ago I saw this pop up on eBay. I just about choked on my coffee when I saw it.
The price (opening bid of $1800, BIN of $2400) was too high for me - at least without having to sell a bunch of other big-ticket items - so I (very reluctantly) decided to wait for the next one to appear in the wild. Then the seller lowered both prices by $300, presumably because there had been no bids yet. I decided to try my luck and asked him to sell it to me directly, so he could save 12% in fees and I could get a better deal.
In the end, I got a digital slap on the wrist from eBay ("We know what you did, please play by the rules next time"), but I was able to get this beauty for just $100 above retail.
Here is letter K of The Woman by Jack Ketchum & Lucky McKee, published by Infernal House in 2010.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves (mostly):
The pig-skin leather is designed to look like human skin. Make of that what you will... It's very soft though!
The book is illustrated by Caniglia. Some of the other images show some nudity, but none are as explicit as the signature page itself.
The discoloured area around the letters makes me think the text on the spine has been branded into the leather...
Inside the traycase is a slipcase made of the same material. It houses another copy of the book for (easier) reading. This book has its own signature page, but no designation.

Thanks all! I have let it out of its cage at least five times since I got it yesterday. I can't stop looking at it...
Apparently the bones are human.
