I watched it when it premiered. Honestly it wasn't what I hoped it would be. The show suffered greatly when Tennant and Sheen weren't on screen. I couldn't wait for the supporting characters to shut up so we could focus on back on the main guys.
Hamm was great though as the snobby Head of the Angels.
The Boys..... WATCH THIS. Loving it so far

Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality. Edgar Allan Poe
My wife and I are enjoying Another Life with Katee Sackhoff on Netflix.
Author of The Road to the Dark Tower, Stephen King: A Complete Exploration of His Work, Life, and Influences and The Dark Tower Companion. Co-editor with Stephen King of the anthology Flight or Fright.
Started watching The Good Witch, there are a whopping seven TV movies before the actual series so I'm going through those now. It's very white-people soapy and safe but it's easy and adorable, and anything witchy always makes me happy.
So I watched three of the seven TV movies that precede the series. You can get a free Hallmark Now seven-day trial and watch them all here: https://www.hmnow.com/search?ss=good+witch And then move onto the actual series on Netflix. It's surprisingly good. Of course it's Hallmark so it's super traditional and all that, but it's very comfortable and pleasant. Sometimes that's just what I need, and I loved. it. Catherine Bell is just wonderful and it's worth watching just to watch her. This is definitely cotton-candy watching.

Just wrapped up Deadwood S1. Gonna do a palate cleanser and jump right in next week. Also I wonder if there's a study online to show how many cuss words per episode there is in this show
Started Love, Death + Robots on Netflix this weekend. I love the short vignette-style format.
Is the Mr. Wu episode in season 1? I re-watched that episode just to count the number of c---S----rs got dropped and it was something like 53, one nearly every minute. A very great and fowl-mouthed show for sure. I need to re-watch it before watching the movie they did. I also need infinite time.
For those of you that know my tastes in shows and movies, do you think I would enjoy Deadwood? All I hear is rave reviews about it so I've been curious.
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
As mentioned above, it is really one of the most expletive-laden shows ever. SO if a whole lotta cussing bothers you, this isn't the show for you. Beyond that, the way characters speak is not how current America speaks. Sometimes I had to re-watch scenes to understand what was going on just because of the density of the verbiage. Something that has simplified a great deal since those days. If you like westerns (and American history because a lot of real life people are featured on the show like Calamity Jane etc), you'll love it. I remember it came on after The Sopranos and honestly some weeks, I looked forward to Deadwood more than The Sopranos. I hated when it was cancelled.
I also HATED when Carnival got cancelled and I really wish they would do a movie to follow up on that one too.
I would love if they made a movie for Carnivale. That show ended way too soon.
And generally speaking I'm not a fan of Westerns which is why I think I never thought twice about Deadwood. But it seems with the movie coming out, everyone is talking about it and how amazing it is. I'm behind on a number of shows, but maybe once I get caught up I'll check out a few episodes and see if I like it.

Heather, I don't know if Deadwood would be your cup o' tea tbh. It's very Western, very dialogue heavy. Think less shoot em up and more Machiavellian plotting. It's a brutal depiction of what life must have been like during the lawless post-Civil War era.
I'm not going to count, but here is this lol.

Yes, Carnivale had the potential to be one of the greatest shows ever. SO disappointed when it was cancelled and on such an incredible cliff-hanger too.
Finished up NOS4A2 last night. Really enjoyed the finale and seeing some book moments play out on screen. Liked the series overall (especially the performances), but wish there was a little more urgency in the middle episodes. Looking forward to season 2 for sure.
