Interesting interview with yet another person I owe money to.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
I seem to recall King wasn't a big fan of the Centipede Salem's Lot due to the size of the book. My recollection is that there were some hard feelings.
Short version: He loved it - then he complained about its grandiosity - then he went on to approve many, many limiteds with other publishers, many of which were much more expensive than Centipede's.

The prices on the secondary market for the Misery S/L.... are just mind boggling. Some of you would be SHOCKED. Man Paul is doing something great here.... is it August 8th yet?

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
what numbers are you seeing...Only trade I know of so far happened at $1100 for the S/L but I've told people it is going to $2000
