New Year Announcements--Please read

Hello All,

I wanted to make some official announcements on the last day of the year.

• First, my deepest appreciation to all the members of TheDarkTower.com and wishes for a warm and safe New Year surrounded by family and love.
• Links:
  • The second toolbar is changing a bit. Casino, Member Map and Towerpedia links are being removed.
  • Links to our site pages are being added
  • I will try to bring back the member map for the new version
  • Look for a new Wiki link in the near future
• The new year Classifieds section is on hold until after the fundraiser
  • PLEASE--if you are selling something on the site, consider giving a portion of the proceeds to our fund raiser
• DTbay will handle fund raiser auctions again this year
  • Please let me know if you are unfamiliar with how to use this feature
• Progress bar and paypal link will appear at the top of the forum tomorrow

Lastly, please consider giving to the Haven Foundation fund raiser this year, we would like to show how this community can come together and give when called.

Beam Bucks are no longer being used on the site. I am going to allow members to trade in what they have for any one (1) entry into a giveaway of their choice.

So how will we choose which drawing to use our Beams Bucks entry for?

And keeping track of which one might be a nightmare, too. Maybe you should just have everyone be eligible for a set drawing (i.e., #3) or something?

And I don't say it often enough, btw, but Matt and that staff here are awesome!!

I am going to announce the giveaway prizes early Gretchen so people will know which one they would like to be involved in. I will keep track of them on a spread sheet and only people who joined the site before today are eligible.

I haven't got this cycles prize up yet but I will very soon.

What with some family problems, bears can't now go too deep into the intricacies of the changes mentioned, but the only thing they know is that everything Matt does is good, wise, and beneficial for everyone.
