What are you?

Well, I am making this thread to ask everyone a question that, though I know the answers for some of you, I'm curious for the rest.

I know a few of us have an animal that we associate with, be it a real animal (Jean = Bear, Woofer = Wolf) or a mythical creature (like myself, who = Dragon), and I've encountered creatures like lovely lemurs, wily wolves, handsome and valiant bears, kooky kangaroos, and much more in my time online.

My question to you is, what are you? And, if you're comfortable sharing, why?

Since this is my thread, I suppose I'll go first. I'm a Dragon. I've always known I was a Dragon, I knew when I was very little, I always loved Dragons, I always wanted to learn to draw them (I still haven't, but I did draw that bear for Jean!), I always called myself a Dragon, and I always knew in a way, I definitely was. When I got older, guess what I found out? I was born in the Year of the Dragon on the Chinese Zodiac. How much of a fluke is that?

Anyway, we can't be anything other than what we are, if we hope to be happy with ourselves. So, tell me what you are, yes? Share and share alike.

Can, I AM a spirit, that's all I know for certain. Perhaps I am a spirit
of all life , for I do relate on a profound level with all life, and all "beings".
Then again, I believe that we are all ONE , and so in this way we all are
the same divine being experienceing life together, for the benifit of our
creator. Great question sweety.There may be some awesome answers given.

bears will, however, retain the right to refer to brices in the plural, like in the common set phrase "bears and brices"

I'd never heard of bumblers 'til I read the DT series last February, but I knew immediately I was a bumbler.

Many, many people have said that I look and behave like a cat, but that's just because I live with two of them. They sometimes have this kind of effect. And who wouldn't like just streeeeeeetch out and then curl up, uttering happy little sounds?

I have always wanted to be a puma (catamount, panther, painter or mountain lion or cougar. All names for Felis Puma concolor.)

They are fast, beautiful and climb well.

I believe quite the opposite - namely, that we're all individual personae, each perfectly unique - but probably that is for another thread.

Little Princess: you made only one mistake, namely, when you said "a few of us have an animal that we associate with", and gave me as as example... I don't have such an animal, I am a bear, have always been and will always be a bear!

My Little Dragon Princess, did you know that I, too, was born in the year of the Dragon? I think it happened because there was no year of the bear in their calendar, and the next best year was picked for my birth...

Actually, this is an interesting topic of discussion in regards to what we are. Feel free to explore this topic further, it technically is relevant.

Well, don't take me the wrong way; this was the easiest way for me to word the question. I know I am a Dragon, and you are a Bear, but not everyone is an animal, some only have an animal they associate with. But thank you for pointing that fact out.

I did not know you were born in the Year of the Dragon; that is interesting to know! It could have something to do with why we get along so well, my friend.

As for the animals, not only can I NOT say that I am a single archetype creature, I don't even really believe in "having" a single totem. Rather, the spirit is defined by a collective assemblange: the totem pole. However, the base of mine really is and always has been Turtle.
