I don't agree with the comic book description, either -- and I've read it, too. It's no more of a comic story arc than the flashback of W&G is, in my opinion.

I agree with Bev's assessment. That's exactly how I felt, too.

It's being referred to a as a "comic" because of the art.

The art is amazing! Wait til you see the rest of it. And, yes, if you wanna see the Jae Lee art, you have to purchase the Grant edition, cause Scribner is not including anything....

I did receive a confirmation email ("Re: WWW Form Submission"). The email says the following:

If you have chosen the ³lump sum² payment or have placed a pre-order under $300, your card will be charged just prior to shipping in February 2012.

I would like to say how jealous I am of those who have read it already. I'll gladly take a day off to drive up to New Hampshire if you need another proof reader.

There is the same chance as coming across a LSOE that was remarqued-slim and none.

PlayPhish said "comic story arc". I have the feeling he has read the story-and thus is qualified to render an opinion.

Thoroughly enjoyed the book; finished in an evening. I just feel that the Dark Tower series is done. Backstory should be relegated to the comics now.

There is one element in the book I disliked greatly but will refrain from mentioning it until the book is published. It may be that I'm reading too much into it.

I haven't seen any artwork but am pretty excited as I like Lee's comic work.

Yeah but can the series really be done if King says otherwise? As for the backstory...the comics followed the storyline from after Wizard and Glass so really it all comes back to the Dark Tower novels anyway you look at it.

As someone who was EXTREMELY disappointed with the ending I'm glad he's still keeping it going. That confrontation with Roland and The Crimson King was horrid.
