I was able to get the gift editions of Secretary of Dreams I and II, but missed out on the gift edition of From a Buick 8 at $199.

Anyone have an extra copy they're willing to sell at or around that price? It's the only King CD gift edition I don't have yet.

I also forgot but luckily planned ahead last week and set my phone alarm (and then reset it when David adjusted the date). I was upstairs when my daughter came running to tell me my alarm was going off and I had no idea why ... at first.

Managed to pick up both my first choices, Storm of the Century bound uncorrected manuscript and screenplay manuscript Pts 1, 2 & 3. I totally missed the Gunslinger proof or would have tried for that too.

John Hanic passed away yesterday...I am crushed....beyond words...thought I'd let you know...




And my medical procedure Tuesday was a scheduled colonoscopy....my father died of colon cancer 30 years ago at age 60 so I have this procedure done about every 3 years as maintenance...nothing to get excited about...I'm all good.

I'm glad your medical procedure went well, David. I have to do one every five years since my brother had a malignant polyp found when he was 30. Luckily it was removed in time.

Please, send our condolences to his family. John was greatly appreciated and respected here and I'm really honored for all the times we talked. May he rest in peace.

Holy c... I am so sorry to hear that John passed away.
I exchanged a few messages over the years, and over the past few months with him... I am glad that David is helping bringing a new legacy to his collection. Nobody else could do it better.

Really like the new update / description on Betts. I really like that he isn't honoring the requests of people who just instantly send all the books they want (before even looking through or bothering to get the #) and just hoping they are for sale, as its totally cheating. Also cool to hear how he goes through the books and does the orders and everything

Couldn't agree more. I HATE when people try to cheat a system designed to be as fair as possible and LOVE when they get called on it and lose out as a result; and just think, all they had to do was be honest and they might have gotten something that they really wanted. Serves them right. Huge kudos to David for calling them on it and making it fair for everyone.
