congrats!! Wish it was me but nope sadly...
I'm glad it sold and I'm very glad it 'stays in the family', as David put it. Well done, whoever you are! Congratulations.
It is not every day you see something like that appear-long since thought not around any more....
so....Bob... how much did you pay for it... ha ha....
(I'd be really surprise if it wasn't Bob...)
Congrats to both the seller and the buyer!
I'm going to guess $12,500.
And, it wasn't me.....

It was my good fortune to be the winner of this "silent auction." I've known that this set of Comics Review existed since 2001. I exchanged a few e-mails with the owner, he sent me photos but was not interested in selling at that time. A couple of months ago we were reunited in cyberspace by Rocky Wood. He was interested in selling and was exploring options to reach the best audience and, hopefully, get the most interest and bids. I suggested he contact David at Betts before making a final decision and I was happy to see that it worked out in that David did the sale/auction.
I wanted this set pretty badly and had so for several years. This isn't the greatest timing for me to make a large purchase but I thought this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I needed to find a way to step up to the plate and get it done. I was very happy when I heard from David that my bid was successful. One more hole in the collection filled. Now if I could just find that darned tall proof of CARRIE!
Awesome, Bob. Congratulations!
Absolutely awesome....
Congratulations!

Congratulations my friend. Would you consider this item to be in your top five? Or is it a "Eh, glad I finally have it ... next!" item?
Congrats Bob very nice.
A very big congratulations to you, Bob!. Curious if there is a date of publication on these?. Or approximate period?.
Congratulations Bob. That's a great addition to your collection.
Congrats, Bob!
Congratulations, Bob! This set couldn't have found a better home.
