After the discussion that arose from the Lisey's Story topic, I thought it might be cool to have a favourite book covers thread. Any books at all, any genre, any author, kids or adults.

Awesome topic, Darkthoughts!
It's obvious by now but, yes, the cover of the U.S. edition of Lisey's Story is beautiful.

I've always been fond of this book cover:
I love the human characteristics the robot is displaying in it.
I am Daenerys Stormborn and I will take what is mine. With fire and blood.
Eventhough, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets isn't my favorite book, I've always loved the cover.

Simple yet profound:
My favorite bands can kick your favorite bands' asses.
The horizon is right and motionless like the EKG of a dying woman.
There are other worlds than these.
"You brought your bitch to the Waffle Hut?"
"(859): You were wearing a sombrero. And a crown. And told me to use the nerf gun to protect your room from the cat. You don't have a cat."

I always loved this edition of Lord of the Rings that my sister had growing up where the 3 covers join together to form a wide landscape from The Shire on the very left to Mordor on the very right. Im trying to find an image of them ..

A book needn't be so scary. It's enough if it's good.

I just drawn to the crumpled cup, and the reflecting infamous figure. To Letti- Read it, you won't be dissapointed.
Jean!! Start a new thread - I read Cell for the first time last week and really enjoyed it - I'd be very interested to hear why you didn't.

sorry about the shot of the scanner at the top - didn't know how to get rid of that!
this ones a graphic novel - I LOVE it, Jamie Hewlett is one of my favourite artists.
I would, only I can't right now - I haven't finished reading yet, and am not likely to finish in the next future. You see, I'm reading it off the monitor, and I can't really do it - well, I did when HP7 was released, and it took me two nights... (the same with the last three volumes of the DT, which I still don't have in normal paper format) but I realized I couldn't repeat this feat of valor with Cell... if you start such a thread, I will at least try to explain why.
