our dear friend and manager patrick finally got to meet his new daughter, ella grace this morning at 8:40 (i'm assuming pacific time)!
8 pounds, 4 ounces and 20 inches long.
he says all is well.

Grace was born just past 36 weeks, so she's almost four weeks early. She was delivered by C-section at 8:40 this morning. My wife is recovering nicely from surgery. The baby is in the NICU (Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit) due to a bit of labored breathing. She will be fine though.
Currently the plan is that mom and baby will come home on Saturday. I'm sleeping at home tonight (my wife has a family member sleeping at the hospital), then I will be there the next couple nights.
Here are a few photos I took tonight with my cellphone (to avoid the flash) at about 11pm (yes, sj, I mean the West Coast timezone). After our two lighter-haired boys, this girl has black hair like her daddy.
