    Default BGNoAT Round 1 Results

Well y’all, the first round of the Comic Tower’s Best Graphic Novel of All Time (BGNoAT from here on) has come to a close and it has turned into an interesting race. So far we have ties in four of the five brackets. One of the brackets even had a five way tie for 3rd and 4th places.

I would like to thank each and every one of y’all who voted and also ask that you encourage your friends to vote as well. I spoke with several people who felt that since they hadn’t read all the books that they shouldn’t vote. All I can say to that is this. If you haven’t read any of the books, you shouldn’t vote. However, if you have read, and enjoyed, even one of the titles being voted on then you have a favorite among the titles presented and should vote for that title. I have read literally hundreds and hundreds of comics and graphic novels, and I hadn’t even heard of one or two titles that were nominated much less read them. So please don’t let the fact that you haven’t read every title discourage you to vote. This IS, after all, a popularity contest. Thank you for your participation. Now to the results.

Moving forward into Round 2 are:
With 13 votes, Watchmen by Alan Moore
With 11 votes, V for Vendetta by Alan Moore
With 9 votes, The Sandman: World's End by Neil Gaiman
With 9 votes, The Sandman: Season of Mists by Neil Gaiman
With 8 votes, Batman: The Killing Joke by Alan Moore
With 6 votes Maus by Art Spiegelman

With 3 votes, Preacher: Alamo by Garth Ennis
With 3 votes, From Hell by Alan Moore
With 3 votes, The Dark Tower: Treachery by Robin Furth and Peter David

We also have the following ties, which will be posted later in tie breaker voting polls to determine who makes the cut. These are arraigned by their Round 1 Brackets rather than votes.

    Default BGNoAT Round One Results

Well y'all, the first round of the Comic Tower's Best Graphic Novel of All Time is officially over. There were some surprises, some disappointments, and several ties. We even had one tie in the tiebreaker and had to employ THE HAT.

I have arrainged the results in order of the number of votes garnered during the voting. Bear in mind though that votes during the tiebreaking rounds will not be counted toward this total. Since there was a tie, the winner/winners of the tiebreaker voting gained ONE vote only toward their official total and thus giving them just enough edge to boost them forward into the next round. If you would like to know the results per Bracket please pm me. Without any further ado here are the results.

With 6 votes, Maus by Art Spiegelman
With 6 votes, The Crow by James O'Barr
With 5 votes, The Dark Tower: The Long Road Home by Robin Furth and Peter David
With 5 votes, X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga by Chris Claremont
With 5 votes, Locke and Key: Welcome to Lovecraft by Joe Hill
With 4 votes, 300 by Frank Miller
With 3 votes, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller
With 3 votes, Preacher: Alamo by Garth Ennis
With 3 votes, From Hell by Alan Moore
With 3 votes, The Dark Tower: Treachery by Robin Furth and Peter David
With 3 votes, Kingdom Come by Mark Waid
With 3 votes, The Invisibles: Say You Want A Revolution by Grant Morrison
With 3 votes, Blankets by Craig Thompson
