Well y’all, the first round of the Comic Tower’s Best Graphic Novel of All Time (BGNoAT from here on) has come to a close and it has turned into an interesting race. So far we have ties in four of the five brackets. One of the brackets even had a five way tie for 3rd and 4th places.

I would like to thank each and every one of y’all who voted and also ask that you encourage your friends to vote as well. I spoke with several people who felt that since they hadn’t read all the books that they shouldn’t vote. All I can say to that is this. If you haven’t read any of the books, you shouldn’t vote. However, if you have read, and enjoyed, even one of the titles being voted on then you have a favorite among the titles presented and should vote for that title. I have read literally hundreds and hundreds of comics and graphic novels, and I hadn’t even heard of one or two titles that were nominated much less read them. So please don’t let the fact that you haven’t read every title discourage you to vote. This IS, after all, a popularity contest. Thank you for your participation. Now to the results.

With 13 votes, Watchmen by Alan Moore
