A Poem - My first

Hi all,

I thought my second post should be some kind of writing, so here goes!

Essential Obsession

I share my mind with appetite
Therapy from time to time
Contamination inhalation
Of the habitual kind

Cowed by what I have become
Slave to essential obsession
Hating me and only me
Eyes open yet I cannot see

I hold myself in disdain
Deemed esteemed insane
I'm inclined to find solution
In my own retribution

I tell myself I'm fine
Am I just spinning lies?
I vowed to you I would
Why can't I end it now for good?
