This one is especially unfortunate. It would be hard for me to make myself pick up a book entitled "enfant lumière".

Меховая, brume means mist or fog.

Oh, I see. So they put the Mist as the title of Skeleton Crew.

A lot of the German titles sound so evasive and mysterious... it's hard to imagine what's going to be in the book when you have only those titles.

I'll be interviewing the long-time Italian translator of King's books for my next Cemetery Dance column. He is also translating The Stephen King Illustrated Companion.

Could you possibly translate it? I'll understand if it's too much trouble though.

    Ok. i try my best:

It´s a critic regarding a report in a Stephen King Forum in Germany about ´bad, senseless..´ names of Stephen King books.
An old-good 100% correct translation was IT=ES, but then the King Publisher in Germany
thinks, short titels are a beautiful idea....
The first ´stupid´ name was SIE - She for Misery. But then the worst comes.
For: “The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger” - Schwarz - Black
The Drawing of the Three” - DREI - 3
    - Tod - dead
    - Glas - glas
    - Wolfsmond - wolfmoon
    - Susannah - ---
    - Der Turm - The Tower

The the autor listed of more examples of the German ´Translations´
The Girl who loved Tom Gordon” - Das Mädchen - The Girl.
Dreamcatcher” - Duddits´ Why not Traumfänger- the translaton
Then she writes about the newest NAME. Every SK fan knows that there is a unpublished
Novel - Blaze. But in germany the publisher think QUAL - pain, torture is a better title.
Then comes Duma Key - in Germany Wahn - Craze
And then comes the proof of the IQ less of the translator of the books, Lisey’s Story
in germany LOVE ... Why , why not Lisey´s Geschichte or Lisey.... Why Why...

This is a very short short roundup of the article... Sorry for my english it´s a little bit rusty.

Thank! And yes those are some pretty bad translations for the titles.
