We don't really celebrate Halloween here.
Well, we do have an occasional H'ween party, but apparently not this year. Ah, well. At least I have this viking party a week before that, does it count?
Woofer, AWESOMENESS!! <3

Thanks, Liisa! I wish I could go to your cool Viking party - I'd say it totally counts. Please get pics. We've got to see you get your mead on.
It'll take a lot more than words and guns,
A whole lot more than riches and muscle.
The hands of the many must join as one.
And together we'll cross the river.

We're not dressing up this year but are going all out on the yard.
One side will be the graveyard with zombies, rats, graves, skeletons, guts, blood, half-eaten corpses, etc. The other side we have dubbed "Carnevil" with killer clowns aplenty - I've already built one game and food booth and a ticket booth. In the center of the yard we have a sidewalk leading to the house and are building a tunnel around it so if the kids want candy they have to go thru the tunnel. Our friends said "oh, you're going to give the kids nightmares". GOOD! They ain't my kids
Carnevil....I remember that arcade shooter ^_^
*goes to find it online*
Halloween is always waited upon in this household like Christmas for most people. me and my kids usually dress up and go trick or treating or my sister in law will take them to the church for what is called "trunk'n'treat'. we usually dress up in like costumes as a theme for us.one year we went as Disney characters. and when the second pirates movie came out we all went as pirates. last year the kids did the batman theme. he went as batman and she as catwoman. this year they want to do kingdom hearts but can not find the costumes i want. she wants to go as one of the organization XIII members and he wants to go as Sora or Roxas. me i am thinking of going as maleficent, keeping with the kingdom hearts theme.
Does whatever a spiderman does.
I'm participating in the Second Annual Obama Zombie Walk in the Village Halloween Parade. I'm kind of pissed off, because I wasn't able to buy or order my Kim Jong-Il costume, so I'll have to improvise in that department. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some friends from the People's Cube to tape the event, then upload it to their website.
My sister loves Halloween-I think it's her favorite holiday-and usually has a lot of stuff going on over at her house, especially now that she has a family filled with kids.
Damn it! I just need to vent.
So I've pretty much given up on my Carnivale idea for two reasons: I cannot find a suitable dress under about a hundred dollars, and I also don't want 50 drunken assholes asking me "what are you supposed to be?" So fuck it.
Now I'm stuck. I was thinking of grabbing one of my sister's formal dresses (she has like five) and slapping wings on it and being like "I'm a motherfuckin' fairy" but that seems kind of lame. So now I'm just like "fuck Halloween" and all pissy and shit.

This link has good info on creating an Alex costume.
It's not too difficult. Bowler + long sleeve white shirt + white pants + white suspenders + combat boots + white codpiece + eyeball cufflinks. Paint eyelash on right eye. The trickiest part is finding the hair.
Muhahahaha!
If he does Alex, you can go as the cat lady
or one of the devotchkas from the record store.
or Dr. Brodsky

We're going as the food groups
hubby... meat group
moi... dairy
DD#1... veg - she'll be a carrot
DD#2... fruit - grapes
son... grains - he'll be a slice of bread
DD#3... other food - she wants to be cotton candy
Buddy, you think you look strong? You’re wearing a cape.
I was invited to a costume party this Saturday, HOWEVER! Since the costume I plan on wearing for this Halloween isn't complete yet, I'm going to rehash my Jack Skellington costume

I know it's not technically hard to make an Alex costume, but Matt is crazy into detail and wants to spend like $20. So he's just making it difficult for himself instead of sucking it up and going to Goodwill.
I'm gonna be TV On the Radio. All five of 'em.
Big town's got its losers, small town's got its vices...
I'll try and take a few pics, just for you gals

We're going to have a Halloween party after all. Halp. My head is empty of ideas.
