I've decided to compile a list of acronyms that we come across in hopes of being able to understand exactly WTF that guy on that other forum was talking about! Please post ones that you don't see here and I'll add them to the original post. Some of these are pretty standard internet fare, but I figure it's best to post them anyway.

I've had a couple of college professors who used it a LOT. It's basically shorthand for "you don't get something for nothing" and they pronounce it as a word: "tanstaffel".
