I guess I'll just wait for the eventual collection on this one. I remember buying several magazines just for the King stories, and then they *all* appeared in Just Past Sunset.

Think of the movie "Indecent Proposal" (with Demi Moore), but without the sex, and the ramifications.
It's a relatively short story, but one of King's better modern works, at least in my opinion.

It is fairly short (takes up around twelve pages including art) and it is one of his better, recent short stories.
A good read.

Well it is twelve pages but it's small print and in two columns. I would think it's about the same length as The Gingerbread Girl. Anyway, got my copy today at the B&N. The checkout counter girl gave me a quizzical look and said, "Interesting cover" to which I noted the magazine contained a new Stephen King story, implying I wasn't buying it for the nudity. Only started reading it, though. King is King. It's impossible for him to write poorly. He can make paint drying sound mesmerizing. So, so far good. Too late tonight, I'll have to finish it tomorrow.
I purchased my copies at Books-A-Million. Try there if you have one in your area.

It's not even half as long. Interesting story though.
There are no places within 40 miles of me that carry the mag. Instead of driving an hour just to buy a magazine, I thought what the hell, I'll just get a subscription. I should have read the fine print since after I PAID for the service, the message telling me my magazine will arrive in 4-6 weeks popped up. I will surely be able to buy the July issue within the next week, so needless to say this was a waste. I guess I can hope that it's a really good magazine.
