ABB for me. Loved the plot, thought some of the characters were a bit "obvious", and I'm really not a fan of the Mia story.

All A's. This is among the strongest of the DT books. What I like about it is that it actually has a solid three act structure to it. Yes, there's more after the end of the battle that carries us into the next book, but this one could still stand alone quite well. The character development is quite good, particularly Callahan (about whom I would gladly have read another 500 pages) and the evolution of Jake's character.

BAA. I LOVE the story, but really hate the Mia subplot, so the plot gets a B.

I hated the Mia subplot too, Sam, but I thought it was executed well and thus I still gave that an A.

This and DOTT are my favorites... usually. I was totally into the series and this book starts to finish is amazing. After the back story and flashback heavy Wizards (which I love too) this digs back into the tet with action and developments all over. All A's from me.

ACA, but it's still one of my favorite DT books. C for character development because I think Slightman's conflict was too superficial.

That was one of the very few redeeming qualities of this book.
