I have set myself a goal.
It is to watch all of these movies and TV shows, in chronological order, as shown, on Blu-Ray or DVD, which means I will have to seek out and find some bootleg copies (some of which I already have).
If I fail in this mission, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of my actions, and my DNA tape will self destruct, disabling my ability to complete the mission until the next incarnation of the Universe after its forthcoming collapse and newest incarnation after the next Big Bang.
If this happens, I will wait.
If necessary, I may have to pay for a cable TV hookup, but that is, of course, a last resort!

If you want to get really ambitious, add the X-men/mutants, old Spider-man, FF, Blade, Ghost Rider, Punisher, Venom, Howard the Duck, Dardevil, Electra, sure there are others.


Ultra ambitious, add the 70's Spiderman and Hulk TV series, and TV movies. And I think there may be some old Captain America movies and TV serials.

When my wife and I first got married we got our first 2 dogs from private owners. One was a purebred Husky and the other was a long-haired Shar-Pei. He looked kinda like a chow.

Then when we lost them, we got one from a pet store because my wife fell in love with her and we had never heard of the breed before. She was a Shar-pei/Pug mix but almost could've passed as a pure bred Shar-pei. Her buddy was a rotty we got from a shelter. She was probably the best dog we ever had.

Then our last 2 dogs have been shelter dogs. One we got as a puppy (pit mix but he's a big baby) and the other was probably barely a year old when we got her. She looks like a smaller version of a Doberman or a taller version of a Dachshund.

They are still fairly young so we've got some time before we can worry about another one.

You and your wife are HEROES!

Been here over 8 years. I therefore have a certain comfort here, but also a lot of work. And also being bored at the same time. Kind of paradoxal.

A few months ago I was contacted by some companies in my field (adtech/data)
At first I was ignoring them because was considering it wasnt the right time for me to change jobs. For many reasons.

Then a couple of job posting I was contacted for gained my attention. I will be honnest, the real attraction was the fact they were paying a lot more : a good +50% of my current position... which I would never gain by staying here. Significant raises are when changing companies.



I started listening and discussing with the recruters and made the decision I should give it a try. Because money will be useful as we want to buy some real estate. And at worst, if I fail I should be entitled to some unemployment and finally get some time for me and not just constantly working.



BUT I have totally changed my mind since.


It's not really a big surprise for me, because those past 5 years or so I was in a mood of not giving a f. Dying tomorrow, in a year, 10 years, 30 years, what's the difference? We're all going to pass one day.
But anyway, I do try to make a yearly checkup. And this time my blood tests were not really good. Not really bad. But could start becoming a real issue if I dont take it seriously.
And I dont think that I will be able to do deal with it properly if I have to add the stress of changing job and company, having to prove myself etc...



So... I have decided to withdraw my candidacies and that it's time for me to get back on track. Money is always useful, but it's not always the main thing.
Not everything is always about money.
I will have more job opportunities in the future if I want to, but I only have one health. My wife already has a lot of health issues her, and it's really taking a toll on her and us. So, if i was to also getting worst..... So, id I don't take it seriously now, what's the point? When will I?
Not sure why I post this here, but... in 2023 I will try on focusing more on myself. And my health.

That's a pretty good outlook to have. I've been at my current job for going on 8 years now and took a significant pay cut to do it. But the benefits are 100 times better than what I had prior plus it cut my commute time down from 2 hours one-way to just 10 minutes.

Money is great but if you don't have the time or energy to spend any of it, it doesn't do you much good.

One of the good advantages of my current work is having 3 days of remote work. But I am lucky enough to be 10 minutes cycling (30mins walking) from work otherwise!
It really is a luxury when working in the Paris area

Awhile ago I used to take advantage of not wasting time comuting to do an hour of sport every morning. And also every evening. And sometimes on my lunch break.
It's awhile but will start doing that again

He said that in the past few years the winners of the awards have been chosen based purely on them being "marginalized groups" If you are Indian, you get an award, if you are a woman you get an award etc, also he agreed with the statement that all trans stuff is demonic and said the person that came up with singular they should be beaten with a rubber hose. He referred to a non-binary writer as a "fat black chic" etc, there is a lot and it was in a FB post that was deleted and then he did this podcast with these horrible people and said some trifling shit basically

The copy I bought has closed captions that are impossible to delete.
Is this the way it was intended to be, in other words, was it broadcast with the captions always on, or is the copy I bought recorded with the CC option on and burned into the discs? I know it's a bootleg.
