Also, as I recall, the book was specially signed to him by King as a "Thank You".

Sounds good. That's classic Roddy in that picture. Bit of a role reversal from Be Aggressive, isn't it?
Ok track. Not my favorite but who gives a damn. It's new Faith No More!
its been what... two decades since Album of The Year?

No wonder some people cannot get medical treatment : I was given an ordonnance for some meds... it was worth 850€.
I didn't have to pay anything (paid entirely by the NHS), but still. I imagine that in the USA..

Ok, that's nothing compared to this : the french gouv has apparently found an agreement with an american company that has put for sale a treatment for Hepatite C.
The price of a box was.... $ 19K !!! (Now reduced to 13k)

I'm guessing that company is Gilead. A few of my family members are shareholders in that company. That's why traditional monopolies are outlawed, but patented medicines are protected for decades
The way the french NHS works is that a percentage of your wage is being taken right away for some government organisations / fundings, including NHS. On top of that, I pay a private organisation about 30e a month (because usually the NHS pays back 60% of all medical cares, and the remaining 40% are being paid back to you from those private organisations called "complementaire").
I know that there was a lot of debate last year about the Obamacare, but I don't see any reason why people wouldn't want a similar health system. It may cost you some money, but it may saves you a LOT of money in long term (eg : when my gf had a back surgery and hospital stay for months, worth over 30k... which did cost us 150€ for the TV in her room).
I think that the main issue was that people knew that it would reduce their income. As a french, since it had always been in place, I never saw any decresing in my income to have that.

without obamacare...
we have non- government private insurance that we can select and pay for... and we chose the level of coverage...40%,70% or 100%... and pay the premium that fits us....
difference... we only pay for our own insurance (not supporting all those others that get the "free" obamacare) ...
also, the people who chose not to have insurance... who might be healthy and haven't seen a doctor in years and might chose to save those premiums and invest the money for the day they might need a doctor, these people are fined by the government for not buying a product....that's just wrong. So instead of encouraging people to set aside money so they can take care of medical bills on their own - Obama-care steals that money away via fining... and redistributes that money to cover other people's medical bills. I don't see how anyone can justify that.
...unless of course you're the one wanting the freebie that other's are covering for you.... but that's a gimme gimme gimme slacker handout lovin' leach sucking government tit attitude.... that I prefer not to have myself.
basically... I prefer to be in control of my own finances, my own health, my own life, my own death rather have a government official decide when, where and how much I can shit and fart.
Canadian and love it. I'm a "perfectly healthy individual" but that hasn't stopped me from being struck by cars. Trust me when I say that universal healthcare is worth the taxes paid for it. It's not about getting a free hand out, it's about supporting your fellow countrymen in their time of need, and them supporting you in yours.
If I get struck by a car - I have private insurance to cover it... I don't need a government middle man to tell me what is good for me.
As far as supporting fellow countrymen... It seems I'm always one of the one's doing the supporting....
and I'm also pretty tired of supporting the not-my-countrymen illegals here. How about I retire and illegally move to Canada... and let you support me ?
BTW... I eat a lot of meat... so please stock up on bacon and steaks.
I had written out a long response to that, but I will keep it to myself I think. Our shared appreciation for King is enough, I'm making a decision not to discuss politics here. No disrespect to anyone's personal views, I'll just keep mine to myself.
