John : while King was spending his saturday evening in Paris in front of 2,800 people, Bernard (published by the same french publisher) was doing a similar event in Korea in front of 4,000 people.
There must be a reason why so many people are hooked into his books...

Here is an old ad with Stephen King for libraries. I would say circa 80s, but does anyone have a better idea of when it was done / released? And what does PSA stands for?

Back home after a fairly miserable trip to Massachusetts. It was the same as always, with everyone trying to schedule time and getting pissed off if you didn't give it to them, on top of seeing grandma as she was. Though in somewhat good spirits, she's still stuck in a wheelchair in a rehab center with a long road to recovery ahead of her. I'm tremendously glad that we decided to go, but am very sad to see her like that with not much that I can do about it. We'd like to bring her out here to spend her remaining years with us, but the logistics and the altitude combined with her age (98) make it pretty unlikely. Thanks for all the good wishes.
On a completely unrelated note, if there are any other WWII art collectors out there, Valor Studios has privately released a D-Day 70th Anniversary print (it's not on their website yet) titled "Pride of Our Nation - The Liberation begins" depicting the 101st and 82nd Airborne jumping into Sainte-Mere-Eglise in Normandy. There are still some editions available: Artist Proofs (edition of 190, signed by 14 Band of Brothers & other D-Day Vets), Victory Edition (330, signed by 6), and Main Edition (490, signed by 2). I picked up a Publisher's Proof (180, signed by 20) at release. Couldn't afford the Eagle Proof ... 16, signed by 22 with a Dick Winters-signed card.
If you're interested, here's the link http://www.valorstudios.com/pride and a look at the print:

Despite all the "static," I'm glad you made the trip to see her, George. Totally the right thing to do.
Wow, a lot of history in that print!

Glad to hear your grandmother is doing okay. Actually, at that age, she seems to be doing really well.

DT Spoiler - Enter at your own risk!
Spoiler:
Can't even put into words how livid I am over that fucking joke masquerading as a basketball game. Yeah, next game there should be an inexplicable malfunction creating a ring of fire around the court. Fucking play on, right?
I wanted the Heat to win too, but you can't blame the A/C when it affects both teams. LBJ cramped up in the finals two years ago also. I think I still would have given the edge to the Spurs last night, but if James would have played on, there's no way the game finishes in a rout.
That's me now gone a full week without a cigarette.

I've got an unopened Cemetery Dance grab bag that's been sitting at my Mom's house for close to two years. I had it sent to her house when I was in the process of moving from Oregon to Colorado and forgot all about it until she reminded me a few months ago. Of course this was when she was staying with my Brother for a few months. Now she's back home and I've been begging her to open it and let me know what's in it, and she keeps putting it off. I love my Mom and all, but the curiosity is killing me right now.
i grew up watching Batman: The Animated Series and to me Kevin Conroy is Batman and Mark Hamill is the Joker... so when i saw this it sort of blew my mind i've seen him do the voice of the Joker before in videos, but not like this
Was reading the Carrie Lettered thread...and thinking of Glenn Chadbourne and potential future anniversary editions of king books and...
