Things are fine for me, as they were quite at the other end of Paris.
So, they were 2 hostage scenes around Paris, and a group told the police that if something was to happen to the other, they would shoot the hostages.
In the end, cops did a simulatenous assault on both places. Apparently, no hostages were hurt, and 3 out of the 4 people were shot (it doenst come as a surprise as the terrorists from the other day, wanted to die as martyrs, as they left one of their ID in the car when they attacked the newspaper. So they wanted to get caught).
Now the thing is : what will be the consequences of that?
Will there be more attacks (against muslims or not)? I've read this morning that a terrorist group is/was apparently planning major attacks in occident, very soon...

Jeremy-
Thanks for the first hand reports. As you know I have a personal interest in the ongoing events. For those who don’t know my daughter is in her junior year of collage studying in Paris. She is home now for the winter break but returning to Paris this month. She has expressed her youthful enthusiasm by saying she wishes she was already back in Paris to participate in the public vigils. I am less enthusiastic, I know she’ll be fine but I will still worry.

Hope things will have calmed down by then.
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
Just watched the uncensored version of that terrorist get killed...damn. He ran towards the cops. I don't think he ever meant to surrender.
Apparently, 4 of the hostages in the shop are dead...

I'll be in Europe next week, but only one day/night in London, the rest in Budapest. Note from the travel desk was that there would be extra security at Heathrow, but otherwise no warnings.
There is also footage where the two brothers that attacked the Charlie Hebdo office shoot an injured police officer in the head while he's lying on the pavement, unable to get away. Horrible.
I saw that video of the officer injured and they shot him on the ground. Horrible. Will there be more acts in the days ahead like this?
How 'bout them Packers!
Yep Packers look ok even with an injured Rodgers...but now Seattle awaits...
With Rodgers 100%, they're the better team. Unfortunately that's not the case. It will be very tough against the Seattle defense.
i often visit a site called dude i want that and came across this

Go Seahawks!! Repeat!
I have been a fan since 1976!
All that's left of what we were is what we have become.
About 4 million french people were in the streets sunday, to pay an hommage to the victims of the recent attacks and to show that we care about our freedoms !
For information, we are about 60 millions in France. I don't remember such a big march, even in 2007, when Sarkozy was against the leader of the national (racist) party in the course of becoming president, which was the other big march I remember, there wasnt that many people. Even more than when France won the worldcup in 1998.

I just finished creating a Facebook page for my company. It would mean a lot if members of my virtual ka-tet could show their support with a simple Like (here).
Also, if you are curious or enjoy talking about fitness, I'd love to start some dialog on my blog (click my signature).
Aside from that I'm just excited and grateful to be starting (and this time finishing) college next week.
my niece is a big power rangers fan and she's only three, so i thought i'd try some Kamen Rider (the original Kamen Rider not Saban's Masked Rider or Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight) and i put Kamen Rider Wizard in Magic Land on and she loved it so i may try the Metal Hero series next
Really want to change flat : ours is cheap (620€ a month), but a bit small. It's basically 45m², including 10m² which is a hall, and a single room (bedroom-living room), with separated kitchen & bathroom + wardrobe.
We are considering to see a bank to see if we can borrow to BUY a flat (as renting is just a freaking waste of money), but also cannot be bothered looking for something else :-/
I should motivate myself by saying that I'll have more space to dispose of my books (i am currently piling books on top of each other), but... then i'll probably have less money to spend of them :p
