Biden's refusal to answer the court-packing question is particularly interesting; the right says he obviously supports it, but I don't see it that way:

- It could be that he doesn't want to pack the court but doesn't want to give the left wing of the democratic party a reason not to support him by saying so.

- It could be that he does want to pack the court but doesn't want to give mainstream America a reason to believe the Trump campaign's repeated contention that Biden, if elected, will be nothing more than a tool of the extreme left wing of the democratic party.

It could also be that while he has no intent to pack the court, he and the party believe that to admit that prior to resolution of the Amy Coney Barrett nomination would be to surrender the closest thing they have to leverage against what may be her inevitable appointment, while attempting to attract public support for their anti-ACB position by suggesting the equivalence of court packing and Trump's "rush" to appoint ACB at this time.

Pence's refusal to answer the question of abortion in Illinois is particularly interesting.

As a voter - I would absolutely support packing that court if Barrett's nomination goes through. Why stop at 11? Why not 17? We have a majority of conservative voices dictating the law which conservative voices are in the minority of this country.

Maybe most of us don't want to live in a 2020 world where conservatives want to act like it's 1790.

Well, the other side has pretty much said that he's not going to say whether he accepts the results of the election (and behaving / hinting / saying that he won't), or holding funds until the results of the election...
