Hey Bev-
Just finished watching you in a King episode on the Canadian Biography channel. Nicely done.
Some of the interviews were older but your segments seemed recent; when were they filmed?

One "advantage" of your parents growing older is they start pawning off all your old stuff back to you...so you never know what rises out of the grave...
These are just a couple of my rejects from the old "The Horror Show" mag, back in 1985...if anybody wants to gamble that I'll still make it big in the literary world, these are on sale - a possible bargain at $220,000! (that's for each seperately, but that should be obvious)
(I can assure everyone we will not be discussing the "plots" of these two tales...I'll just say I'm grateful to Dave for his good taste)
I wonder just how much King got for the DT film rights?
Post from Mod at SKMB:
"Ron Howard's production company has already spent significantly more than $19 for the film rights so I'm doubtful they'd be willing to hand over the reins to you. They've also had their team working for several months working out the plan for how the 3 movies and TV show will be scripted. What they've come up with is subject to Steve's final approval but we'll find out soon enough what the plans are."
JOC ~ Is DT not doing a Haven Fundraiser this year?? I thought it usually started with the New Year??

Selling my collection of books and some cases
Discussions are taking place.
My girlfriend has gone back to University an empty bed for me tonight!
I would like a signed copy of The Passage. There are several on ebay, but I'm not sure which are legitimate. Anyone have any for sale, or know where I could get one, that is authentic?
*edit* Oh, and no tipped in pages or bookplates please!
I have an extra copy or two. Let me confirm they are not personalized.
Check with Lemuria Books - I've bought from them before and they have great service - http://www.lemuriabooks.com/index.ph...author&id=1754
My prices are very competitive.
It seems like S/L edition of The Passage was a good investment for those who bought them only to flip them. One on eBay is currently at $145 with days to go.
Only the one? So nobody's really trying to flip them yet...interesting...
Any completed auctions? (I'm too lazy to check myself)
EDIT: I checked...no completed auctions...just the one.
So my hard disk on my lap top sh*t the bed last night. The whole system completely locked and when I restarted it, it passed the self tests, but actually warned me that "failure is imminent". Seriously, it said it just like that. Every time I restarted it after as well. Funny.
At least I had time to back up the disk to my external and double back my documents folder to my jump drive. Still annoying though. Geek Squad will have it until the end of the week, and I'll be stuck using my 12 year old tower at work until then. Can't even install FF on it, so please excuse my dastardly spelling.
At least my extended protection plan has paid off in spades with this model. I love it to death, it's my right arm to the world, but...
Completely snowed in here in CT. Close to 18 inches of new snow since last night. No school today! Taking the kids skiing after I get off work at 10, provided I get help digging out the driveway!
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

Michael Jackson for the win! Greta Garbo's looks great too.
Quick thoughts:
1) joined a new band. Heavy. Tool (the band) tuned to B if they decided to get really raw. First practice gave me butterlys which is always a good thing.
2) Coffee on the go is for suckers. Nothing like making my own at home, putting my feet on the couch and reading a good book.
I figured you were a fan. To be honest though, Tool is as close I could get with a mainstream band. It's closer to Nailbomb (Sepultura + Fudge Tunel side project), Unsane, Neurosis, early Helmet, Godflesh, early Isis, that kind of stuff. A lot of repetition and building into really heavy parts.
Perfect timing! I had the same thing happen to my first Playstation. The extended warranty was a month from expiring when it broke down. The best part is, they just gave me a new console (the slim, improved one) and since it cost half the price I bought the original Playstation for, I got about $75 with which to buy new games.
The money types you hear on the radio always say that the extended product plans are a waste of money, but on expensive complex electronics, I yet have had one not serve its purpose. That and my laptop always is with me everywhere.... school, work, in the car... The accidental damage coverage alone was worth it to me.
