    How did you discover the Dark Tower?
    Borrowed 'The Gunslinger' from a friend to read about 15 years ago, and thus my quest had begun

    Who is your favorite character?
    Hard to say really. At a push I'd say Eddie Dean, although it's hard not to admire Roland the most.

    What is your favorite book?
    All of them!

    How old are you?
    35

    Where are you from?
    Scotland

    do you have a nickname?
    Maybe, but if I do it's one that people use behind my back otherwise, 'dogbert' will do just fine.

    Nice to be here folks, have just finished re-reading the entire series of books (thankfully didn't have to wait years between books this time ) and now I think I'm finally ready to discuss 'that' ending... *finds 'ending' thread*

    How did you discover the Dark Tower?
    I had always wanted to read Stephen King, but never got around to it because I keep a big reading list. I was bored one day and picked up The Gunslinger...the rest is, as they say, history.
    Who is your favorite character?
    Anyone who doesn't say Roland is kidding themselves on this one. Come On, you know it's true.
    What is your favorite book?
    I would have to say Wastelands followed by Wizard and Glass. I love them for what King does with borrowing conventional images, like the Wizard of Oz, and the idea of a Literary image of the Wasteland. I think it is brilliant, and am thinking about writing my thesis about the series.

    How did you discover the Dark Tower? Saw The Gunslinger on display at Borders, and the cover caught my eye--the raven of course. Pretty silly, but I bought the first and have been hooked since. Read the entire series twice, and just started revisiting it.

    Who is your favorite character? I like all of the main characters quite a lot, but I'm particularly fond of Roland, Jake and Alain. Roland is pretty self explanatory I think, as for Jake and Alain, they represent a kind of person I'm drawn to. Quiet, sensitive, and thoughtful. Alain in particular reminds me quite a bit of my boyfriend, albeit younger.

    What is your favorite book? Caught between The Wastelands and Wolves Of The Calla

    How old are you? 24, turning 25 on July 12th. :3

    How did you discover the Dark Tower? I started readind stephen king at 11 and somewhere along the way i recieved the gunslinger. I loved it but never read more of the the series til on deployment in iraq. i bought the series on line and read like crazy

    What is your favorite book? a draw between The gunslinger and the wizard and the glass

    How did you discover the Dark Tower? I was never a real king fan, until my ex mother-in-law bought me Wizards...I read it and was hooked...I then had to go back and read The Gunslinger and so on...Have read the series 7 times now and get something new from it everytime.

    Who is your favorite charcter? I notice the majority say Roland. While yes he is the "Stand Out" character of the books i will always have a soft spot for Eddie/Cuthbert (essentially the same character)...How much did this guy have to overcome in such a short while to become the Gunslinger he was

    What is your favorite book? Drawing of the Three, hands down. The gun fight between Roland, Eddie and Balazar's men might have been the defining moment in the saga for me.
