A New Years "Thank You"
Every year for the last few years, I've made a new years toast, that is a little bit different each time, but it's basically saying "Happy New Year, and may it be less disappointing than the last one."
(If you see where this is going, and don't like it, pretend it's a case of underage drinking or something)
Every year i made that toast I remain disappointed, and actually seem to be MORE disappointed than less. Until this last year. Over the last nine months I've met strange, weird, annoying, fun, funny, and downright awesome people. I've made new friends, learned new things, and laughed my ass off.
I'm still greatly disappointed with this year, but nowhere near the levels of disappointment of the previous years.
And while I am in now way looking forward to 2009, the urge to destroy the planet to keep the new year from coming has lessened a bit. What i AM looking forward to is more smiles and laughs to come.
