All or nothing.

As long as he adheres to his commitment, I'll give him praise and kudos all over these forums for reforming himself and becoming a "King collector in good standing." So far so good, as I have received first payment and have mailed out the first book. He's been pleasant to deal with and seems like a very sincere, nice fellow.

But if he craps out on me, I will crush him.
I am pleased to announce that Nick sent his second payment and should receive the #464 S/L of The Dark Tower VI: The Song of Susannah in tomorrow's mail. As promised, I am giving him the kudos he deserves. Thanks, Nick!

Encouraging, enjoyable, and (for kingfan24) ecstatic.
Very happy for both of you.

i had #214 of the dark tower series and that was my least favorite of all of my collection. It was alot of money for one set of books, and i did not get the enjoyment from them that I thought i would. I worried about their safety (humidy, dust, etc...). I sold the set and I am much happier with out them.

I hope you like them much better than i did. I also was not a fan of the books being broken up into two volumes and the slipcases were not all the same.

Since I don't have any of those S/Ls, and have no intention of ever buying them (for the same reasons Roseannebarr said), I have been curious about that. Is it simply the novel, broken up into two books? If that's it, why??

The "bookw" were too big to publish at the same trim size, with high quality paper, artwork and sewn bindings. They had to split them. If one complains about disparate slipcases, imagine if DTIV and DTVII were the size of LSOE or TWTTK S/L's. They likely would be outrageously designed, but would look like Merlin1958 (6'9") standing next to TwistedNadine (~5'2").

I've got a brand new, unopened S/L The Dark Man, and I'll throw in a like new trade edition of the same title to go with it. I'd take $410 (paypal), but what I'd really like is to trade someone for a S/L Joe Hill NOS4A2 from Subterranean Press. I'd also consider other Joe Hill s/l titles. PM me if you are interested. Thanks!
