When I get all my results compiled (it will be a poster presentation) I'll definitely post them here. Some of the stuff I'm getting is really interesting. (And some of it makes me laugh )

Brice - I think a couple other people had the same problem. I should have provided an opt-out option. I'll have to remember that for future surveys like this.
Can't you just change your whole final project to accomadate me?

Lazy people would opt out of them all. I'm not lazy...welll, Aactually yes, I'm extremely lazy, but I'd have happily done it for you if I could have honestly.

I also couldn't answer the question that follows it with the more feminine/more masculine ratings.

that's so not true SJ. he just couldn't figure out a way to put "BRICE" in as most masculine in all categories.

Now, why exactly would I need to point out something so ridiculously obvious?

On a scale of 1 to 5, how masculine a trait would you say laziness is?

I vote this thread definitely stays when I'm done.

Everybody - last chance to participate! I'm shutting the survey down tonight by 6pm central time.

Might I suggest "Mannish Boy Blues"? It's a classic blues song that's been covered by so many great artists (Jimi's is spectacular) and it's pretty clear how it fits this topic. Ok, I'm done interjecting my opinion into what is SJ's choice.

    I second Jayson's opinion concerning SJ's choice.

And Jimi's is fantastic. Just stating the facts- that opinion doesn't really need to be seconded.

    Heh, thanks Jayson.
I'm working for 6 hours this afternoon and I'm going to try to compile some of my results.
I'd at least like to post some of the definitions of masculinity, I'm sure they could spark some interesting discussion...

You should know by now that I am incapable of passing up a joke no matter how obvious. It's a blessing and a curse. Life with me is like Hollywood Squares, my first answer is almost always going to be a joke.

I look forward to seeing the range of definitions offered. I've always thought that understanding how we define the words we use is crucial to engaging in any kind of meaningful discussion.

I'm honestly a little surprised Johnny Depp is on there... I personally find him sexy but not terribly masculine. And I can't believe Christian Bale didn't make the list! Harrison Ford, definitely.

I'm kinda surprised about Brad Pitt. I mean, I don't usually think of him as masculine, per se. Perhaps it's because he had kind of a baby face, at least when I think of him - I think of the first film I really saw him in - Thelma and Louise.
