I gave this one a 3. I may need to re-read it but from my recollection, I had to labor somewhat in parts. But it was, in other parts, very good. So, average.

I gave it an average as well. It's been a while since I've read it and I can remember enjoying it...but it's also not a King book that I've been dying to re-read.

I remember that I really liked it at the time, and I can still remember many parts of the book in vivid detail. But it was still only average for me; not a fave by far.

    I gave this one a 3.
It was pretty good - but it's up against some heavy competition in this section.

That's the wrong approach. Read Aaron's explanatory post "How to Vote" that's sticked. These are not being in direct competition yet.

This is one of my faves actually. I had to give it a 5 as well. I BURNED through this book the first time I ever read it. I reread it not too long ago and burned through it again. The story is poignant, moving, and disturbing all at the same time for me. That's the mark of a well written story.

Another solid 3 for me. I liked it, but I didn't love it.

I found it ok, pretty much like Cujo, but I'd never say it's a great novel. It was a bit illogical at times and we don't know much about any of the characters. I gave it a 3, exactly like Cujo and on the same grounds.

This looks to be one of the least liked ones so far.

The first post of this thread has been edited to indicate The Dead Zone's final average score, which is 3.85. The Dead Zone will not be moving on to Round 2 of the competition.
