I think I paid $1250 a couple years ago... I fear what they will go for now with the hooplah surrounding the trailer... cannot imagine when the movie comes out!
That doesn't seem right... Did you maybe add an extra 0 there? If not I may have a set for sale... lol

Yeah, we really underestimated what the actual folders would cost. The price per unit for each folder ended up being close to the retail price people paid! That means we ate the other costs -- paying the artists for the rights to print their artwork, producing the actual prints on the nicer acid free paper, etc, etc.

From a business standpoint, we REALLY bungled things!

But from a collecting standpoint, the end results were beautiful!

Like I say, we live and we learn. I want to do another production like that again someday because I love how it turned out! Just need to be more careful with estimating my costs ahead of time.

Is it possible the It portfolio is no longer listed on the CD site (I just took a look and didn't find it)? Obviously they are long gone, but I'd hoped the product pages might be kept up, as is the case with OOP books.

Entirely possible that the page got deactivated when we switch to the new site, I will look this afternoon.

So does that mean the 15 year celebration book (ordered back in 2013) will soon become a 30th anniversary book for 2018?

"But, while GWENDY has stolen most of the recent spotlight, we’ve also been hard at work putting together a publishing line-up that will make 2017 and 2018 two of our biggest years ever — just in time for the 30th anniversary of our founding in 1988."

Holy crap! I think I need to set up CD savings account, similar to the healthcare savings account, only for books. Would be a good way to help with all these books!

I'm pretty sure this has been said already, but just to be safe I won't say specifics, but that book had a significant change / title change that I believe we notified people who preordered about some time ago. Though we haven't officially announced what it turned into.

I guess the dry spell is over!
    The the CD Website:

First, I’m extremely excited to report we will be publishing a special edition of SLEEPING BEAUTIES by Stephen King and Owen King. I cannot say more at this time, other than we’ve already read this massive novel and we’re incredibly thrilled to be able to publish it in three different deluxe editions. Details to come later this year, and again, we’re not accepting reservations yet, but we expect this one to sell out in record time. (And yep, that’s a photo of the manuscript!)

I really, really like that idea. Always learning, even after all of these years. Dan and I can discuss -- thank you VERY much for the suggestion!

You could then tape the whole thing to a slightly larger piece of cardboard or better yet two like a sandwich. Put that in a box and I doubt that any of them would be damaged.

I would say that if they expect this to sell out in record time, that based on their expectations, King will be signing the Limited Edition. I guess "record" time could mean a bunch of things though.

It seems that CD is getting a lot of love from the King family. I'd agree that he will probably sign.

Signed limited editions would be nice, as lettered editions are a little too rich for me.
