    I'm curious as to how many voters have actually seen His Girl Friday. I like Oliver Stone, and I liked many of the "Vietnam movies", but I hated Platoon. It was certainly no Full Metal Jacket (though it was much better than Casualties of War).

    Either way, His Girl Friday is a hilarious movie. It'll lose this tie-breaker because not enough people have seen it, but hopefully this will cause some more people to see it.

    I've seen both and I thought Platoon was by FAR the superior film in all aspects; direction, acting, cinematography, and musical score. Platoon was just a brilliant film. Next to it, His Girl Friday is akin to a Keanu Reeves film.

    I haven't seen HGF, but Platoon is one of my favorite war movies.

    I hated Platoon, too... but, then again, I am not very fond of Oliver Stone generally.
