Its from the End-World Almanac, and if I recall the lay of the Calla, Manni Redpath was actually located kinda in the foothills. So there should be some lower mountains there between Bryn Sturgis and Manni Redpath. I believe it was there that the ka-tet and the folken stood against the Wolves.
