    The Mist
    According to IMDB.com the current release date is November 21, 2007

    Directed by Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, The Woman in the Room)

    Starring:

    Andre Braugher as Norton
    Jeff DeMunn as Dan Miller
    Marcia Gay Harden as Mrs.Carmody
    Laurie Holden as Amanda
    Thomas Jane as David
    Toby Jones as Ollie
    William Sadler as Jim
    Personally I can't wait for this film.
    After seeing how Darabont handled Shawshank and Green Mile, I was thrilled to find out he was going to be behind my favorite SK "short" story.

    Bev Vincent, well known in the King community (has he showed up here yet?), went to someplace in Louisiana for a few days of The Mist filming and he wrote a blog about it - pretty cool stuff. I am definitley headed to the theater for this showing!

    I really can't wait for this one to hit the theater! It should be interesting to see how Darabont handles the adaptation.
    Momma told me there would be DAYS like this. SHe is coming back around, though...to put things back the way they should be. HIS story? Nah...we've had enough of that.

    The Mist first appeared in 1990 in Dark Forces (which was edited by Kirby McCauley, King's agent at the time). It was later reprinted in Skeleton Crew. According to King's notes at the end of Skeleton Crew, the story was substantially rewritten for the later appearance.

    I have a "Special Limited-Edition Advance Listener's Copy" of the original CD release. A picture is attached. I'll be getting the new release so that I can compare the two.

    Yup, you're right! It was Kirby McCauley, not Ramsey Campbell. I don't know how the hell I mixed those two up.
