I just received the Artists Signed Limited Edition. All I can say is I better start hitting the weights!!! This book is so massive I can not believe it. I am simply overwhelmed at this production. I have #23. Pretty amazing....

Mike, I assume you're referring to Artists of Darkness from Centipede. I agree-the book is massive! Do you have any idea on how you're going to display it?

Can I read German, you ask? Nein. But aren't these absolutely stunning!!!?? My new P&J

- the Metallic German versions of DTII - VII and Robin Furth's Concordance Vol 2 (also metallic, but it's a paperback and doesn't shine as pretty). Concordance Vol 1 was apparently confiscated by customs or something since it wasn't in the box. The seller and I are emailing about it now, but I couldn't wait to show these to you.

And the box they came in (sheesh!). Not only was it apparently opened and resealed, but there was absolutely NO packing or wrapping of any kind around these books! I'm actually amazed they arrived as unscathed as they did, and extremely happy that VI and VII were still in shrinkwrap, although the corners and edges still got dinged a little.

And a huge THANK YOU to our own Resident Chris who showed these to us first and interpreted the German eBay listing for me!

The cool thing is that I got the lot for only 120€ plus shipping!! I'm on the lookout now for the metallic DT1 (known as Schwarz) - wish me luck!!

With a lousy packing job like that though, I thought you were going to pull out the UTD UK S/L.

I love that set. I have the Drei, but not the others yet. The guy I bought the one from has the other six (which I intend to buy), but I haven't seen the concordance before.

I think you got a much better deal than I did and I'm glad they got there in such good condition from that horrendous packing job.

Gretchen, my guess is customs (either German or US) opened the box to see what was inside and didn't bother putting back the packaging material.

I'm just guessing, but I've had packages sent from other countries opened by customs before, and in their opinion they don't give a crap about trying to repackage the box. They always arrive like crap. But I will say it's never been as ugly as yours. But the books are ok, that's all that matters.

They only look like metall, the shinny metallic cover is very fragile for scratches, but it looks very good.

I have finally got my hands on a book that i have wanted for ages .... the "From a Buick 8" S/L ....also the "Desperation" gift edition and some suprise free gifts of the "Just After Sunset" UK special edition/DVD, the "British Invasion" signed CD special edition and a very good looking copy of CD magazine #2 from 1989!!!! And all of this for £230 which includes the £21.65 the seller payed for postage!!!!
