Well I stepped up and bought yesterday afternoon Ned Dameron's Waste Lands manuscript from kacod (Kyle) on eBay.
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
I was watching that one and when it didn't sell, I was hoping he'd offer it for less. Oh, well. A nice acquisition, David!
John
Thanks. I almost bailed at the last minute thinking $800 is still mucho $$, but the Dark Tower nutjob that I am coupled with the semi-relationship I've established over the past year with Ned pushed me into sticking the course. It is a great collectible and may be only valuable to someone like myself (no broad market appeal maybe), but it will be unique to my collection.

congrats on the purchase David.
It is a really cool collectable.
After some negotiations with the seller (I was the high bidder, but didn't meet his reserve) I got this for my original max bid:

Congratulations on those amazing collectibles, David and John!
Ari, I like yours too.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone proof front:
Back:
This makes all three of the US Harry Potter proofs that were issued that I now own. I can't afford the UK proofs (the cheapest I've seen is $2000+!), but I'm always on the lookout for a good deal!

Great job John!
