Not an acquisition one can touch but surely one I'll never forget:

Charlotte Hobbs Library uploaded the video of Stephen King's event from January 28th, 2021.

For me it was an incredible virtual event. First Moira was a really great host. Then Stephen King READ from Salem's Lot, which I found incredible). The talk was very nice and smooth, and then I had this incredible moment where my question was read but before that he said to me Happy Birthday.
It just can't get better than that!

At 36:40 Moira reads my question and well...I can't ask more for a birthday, right? 🙂

I was able to get a signed In the Tall Grass in the Chicago area. I live only about 34 miles away for the bookstore. I got there a couples minutes after they opened and I ended up getting the last one.

They had 5 total signed copies and I just assumed they'd be long gone by the time I got there. Apparently someone had been waiting since 3:30 am.

My "Later" finally arrived, also picked up a signed "In the Tall Grass" yesterday.

I'm considering trading the signed "Tall Grass" if anybody is interested. (I love trading books more than anything)
I wish to trade for 1st/1st signed King books (if somebody has duplicates) or.. Suntup S/N

Happy with 1984? Thought the design is cool. The Heinlein books are a nice case of "have to touch them to truely appreciate them" right?

I freaking love 1984. The whole package, book, papers that wrap the book, the art work, case... All top not. It's one of my favorite Suntup books now. And I agree
about the Heinlein books as well.

That's a good looking book. Even though I don't think I'd ever want to read The Grapes of Wrath again, I wouldn't mind that edition sitting on my shelf.
