Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

Here is my Clive Barker drawing, definately not a new item I pre-ordered this in 1989 or 1990, published by the now gone comic book company Eclipse. Clive Barker Illustrator. I really enjoy his art.

I just won this UK 1st edition Salem's Lot for $150 which I think is a pretty fine price. Book and jacket are in decent condition. I'm not a big collector of UK first editions, but I do have the signed Carrie and given that I have a signed US 1st Salem's Lot as well as the S/L and Lettered editions, I felt I should own a 1st UK to complete the set. I am very please with my purchase.

A very nice acquisition, David! That's only a little more than I paid for my ex-lib copy a few years ago.

I think it's a great price Wiz, congrats!

I was watching that one and am glad to see it go to one of the good guys on this site. Good going, David.
Thanks everyone. Turns out I was the only bidder, but I looked closely at the pictures and the guy does have 100% feedback. He has been quite friendly via e-mail and is a King fan. I invited him to join us here.

Nice purchase Wiz.
Not sure under which heading to post this. It is not really a "Pride and Joy" but interesting nonetheless.
I got this NEW IDEA magazine (2/16/85) on eBay from an Australian seller. The listing said it had writing by King in it. I figured it was probably an excerpt from DANSE MACABRE or something else that had been previously published. I queried the seller and he said it looked to be original writing and there was nothing to indicate it had previously been published. So I took a chance and bought it.
I couldn't find a listing for it in either the Collings or the Brooks bibliography. So I sent a scan to Rocky Wood. It appears to be a previously uncatalogued nonfiction piece by King. Surprising since, according to Rocky, NEW IDEA is a pretty mainstream magazine in Australia. Anyway, it is nice to "discover" new writing by King and add to the bibliographers list.
Photos of the cover and King writing. I left the article pretty big so maybe those interested can read it. Nothing new in the article but still interesting reading.
Leave it to Bob to 'discover' something the experts weren't aware of.
Great find!
Well done !
