Mike - no love for Wolf of Wall Street?
Funny you should mention that actually. I just saw The Wolf of Wall Street today and loved it. I was surprised how into the film I was. 3 hours and I would have been up for a few more. Leo gives one of the most powerful performances of his career and Marty still has it even in his 70's.

this might be the wrong place but....
I actually started a movie trailer thread a while back. I love trailers. It tends to get buried though. I bumped it for you. I don't see why it can't be put in this thread too.

Oh man, I am laughing so hard I'm crying. Thanks for posting that, Heather.
A NEW GAME BEGINS
Those were great! I especially like the one where the guy gets shot.
Every time I watch Back to the Future 3 I wonder why that kid is gesturing like that. Still doesn't make sense.

Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight: What a fantastic trilogy and it's something everyone should check out. I thought Before Midnight would just be as great as the previous two but it was so much better.

this is a little OT (but its a movie thread and I didn't want to derail the trivia one..)
For a long time now I have been trying to track down a movie that I once saw. All I can remember is a scene where the main character (a man) goes into his office and then when he is sure no one is around, escapes out through the ceiling, so he is not seen leaving the building. I was convinced this was John Cusack, but I cant align it to any of the films he's been in. (it's definitely NOT 'Grosse Point Blank" although the office his sister Joan is in does remind me of the film I am looking for). I would say the film is at least 10 years old, possibly much older.
I appreciate its not much to go on, but it has slowly been driving me crazy...
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
Hmmm ... is there anything else you can tell us? Why does he want to leave without being seen?
It's not Being John Malkovich is it? Doesn't sound like it, but it does involve John, an office, and escaping from an office (via a hole though, not a ceiling).
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
I have no other recollection of the film. Just this one scene stayed in my mind.
No, it's not BJM either. I checked that one out again recently.
As far as I can recall, his whole 'being secretive' was a big part of the plot. I *think* he pretended to be in the office all day, but sneaked out for some reason.

Isn't there a scene in The Game with Michael Douglas where he leaves his office through the roof?
It's not the Game. Good movie though.

This happens to me from time to time. It's something that drives me crazy. It's usually films that I saw when I was a kid. I've been able to track both films down. The first was a film I remember watching while growing up. The only image I remembered was of a boy burying his G.I. Joe's in the backyard. People on these very forums helped me solve it. The film is called The Boy Who Could Fly. The other was a film I watched as a kid where a bunch of teens had to go save some family members that were being held captive in another country. I solved this one by asking the question in different message boards on IMDB.
Basically, the film shared similar themes as Red Dawn, Iron Eagle, and a few other 80's films. I went to all those message boards and people helped me figure out it was a film called The Rescue staring a young Kevin Dillon.
I will try to help you solve this mystery. It's not much to go on, but I think we can do it.

Goblin - send a PM to the user NeedfulThings, that guy is an organic movie encyclopedia. If anyone can help you, it's him.
Could it be BEING JOHN MALKOVICH John Cusack, Cameron Diaz & Catherine Keener 1999?

Okay, I did find this, but I doubt this is the answer. It's John Cusak in 1408. At about 1:47 into the trailer, Cusak is seen entering the ceiling.
It's probably not the film you are thinking of. This isn't an office, it's a room.
I'm afraid we are painting ourselves into a corner with the John Cusak thing. Are you positive it's Cusak?
