I'm not seeing any reporting on that, do you have a link? WW84 wasn't among the date changes WB announced, keeping its Christmas 2020 date for now, but if things don't change they'll probably move it to 2021 too.

WGTC is not a reliable source. They report pure speculation as fact.
Theaters are going to shut down with or without the studios. Just look at the terrible numbers Tenant brought in. And there's nothing at this point until Wonder Woman. That's another 2 and a half months of no releases. Regal is already closing down and they were the 2nd largest chain of theaters in the US. Even if Wonder Woman releases in December (which I don't think it will) it won't be enough to save the theaters. Especially not the theaters in states / places where they aren't even allowed to be open yet anyways.
We've been saying it for months. If a big blockbuster went full streaming and did well, the dominoes would fall. Mark my words.

If that's true, then you have your answer to why studios will not release their films.
Trolls did really well on streaming. Yes, it's a kid's film, which is a huge reason why it did well. People are starving for new shit. If Wonder Woman drops and they charge 20 bucks or whatever, I think you would be surprised at how well it will do. We will never know until it happens though. A film of that magnitude has never been released in such a way.

But I wouldn't pay the $20 that they've asked for new POV releases like Antebellum, Trolls, or The Invisible Man, though.
On the plus side, I've been able to work through a lot of the older movies and TV series that have been on my list. I wouldn't have been able to get to most of them if we had new TV/movie content for the past 7 months.

what is it with Zack Snyder and that fucking Hallelujah song
I really liked WW84! Not as great as the first one (it was my #1 movie of 2017), but still a wonderful and emotional ride. The message of love and hope and truth is what Wonder Woman stands for, and it was conveyed beautifully. I bawled my eyes out. That was just beautiful. The ending was also incredibly tense and emotional.when she! Just the cherry on top. This was a great Christmas present! And then the
Sorry Mae - I am on opposite side of spectrum - watched it with my wife and two kids - afterwards asked how they'd rate it outta 10 - the range was 5.5, 6, 6 and 6.5. We all felt the villain and the use of wishes and his "taking" something from them - felt very rushed and I think they did a poor job fleshing that out. Plus none of us cared for the CGI action sequences - it was too animated, just didn't have that real feel to it, and there was just so much "thrown in there" - like the kitchen sink too. It was pretty much meh from our family...nothing that we would go watch again.

If I could ask Maxwell Lord for a wish, it would be to erase WW84 from existence.
I just finished watching WW84, and I thought it was okay. They did a lot right - and it was true to the 80s WW comics in many ways - but it was just too long. They tried to do too much in one movie. If the last 90 minutes had been as strong as the first hour - and been tightened up significantly - it would have been really great.
I will say both Gal Gadot and Pedro Pascal did a fine job with the material.
