Ah, Resurrection of the Daleks. The best line in that, and I mean one of the greatest of all time?

I'm really bummed that Brice beat me to completing all classic and current Doctor episodes... I feel like such a slacker. However, I am closing in on completing Season 26 after some major real life distractions. Why can't the world appreciate the importance of my television time??
Don't feel so bad - you're still watching the show in order much quickly than I did.
And holy crap, my Big Finish collection is huge - had to order a couple more storage units for my CDs the other day to make sure I had enough room for all my main range, Companion Chronicles, Lost Stories, Fourth Doctor Adventures, Eighth Doctor Adventures, spin-offs and any other related CDs. Might have to post a pic soon. By the way, is anyone else looking forward to the release of the War Doctor novel at the end of the month?

It's a few months late, but I've finally found a pic of me in my costume on my best friend's wedding day, taken with a mate from work:
Spoiler:
And yes, it's missing a top hat and the flower, but it is heavily based on this:
Spoiler:
My best friend deserved the best (even before she gave me that awesome, awesome Paul McGann photo signed by the man himself!), so I made sure to contribute what little I could to her best day ever. And it was truly legendary.
Also: NEW FULL-LENGTH TRAILER!!!!

Just watched Doctor Who: The Movie!! Finally catching up! I didn't expect to enjoy the movie quite as much as I did.
Nice Doctorish get-up Doc!

28 days...
Massive congrats on finishing the classic series, stkmw02! You've officially joined me and Brice as the coolest members on this board!
Thanks, FoG. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out overall.
Until then, there's always other Who to check out.
Most immediate release I'm excited about: Engines of War, the War Doctor novel, released on 31 July. Really looking forward to that one.
Other upcoming releases: the 50th Anniversary Box Set (already pre-ordered, it's out early in September) and Dark Eyes 3 in November. Really loving how Eight's story still continues in a way, but I've still got massive closure on his Doctor finally.

Really hope that 50th set gets to the US soon.

Now I've finished almost all of the Eleventh Doctor, with the minisodes etc. included... I just need to watch The Day of the Doctor and The Time of the Doctor before the new stuff starts. I drank up every second of the more recent Doctors the second time through, appreciating so much more of it this time.
Unrelated happy news, and you heard it hear first - even before Facebook! - I am officially a librarian WITH a library! I can't wait to figure out how to incorporate Doctor Who into my new job as a high school/middle school librarian. I'm thinking travel and history books related to each of the Doctors... oooh, I am so excited!
Congrats!

Massive congrats! Yep, anything you can do to incorporate Who in your everyday life is always a good thing! (For the record, early Hartnell stories like The Aztecs and The Crusades made me really interested in history as a kid. I really miss those pure historical stories. A shame they don't do them much these days.)
Oh, and I got War Doctor novel Engines of War today. Squee! This'll keep me going for the next few weeks!

And now I wait...
So where are we all going to meet up to see the new episode in theatres???
Ah, I do wish that were possible. Gotta hate physical distance and travel costs, though. Still, it's probably not a bad idea for some of us fans in our respective countries/states (seriously, I know how big states are alone) to meet up sometime. If not for the up-coming ep, then perhaps for something special like the finale or next year's season opener when we can better prepare and plan for it. Would anyone be up for that?
By the way, just finished the War Doctor novel Engines of War, and it was fucking awesome! What I loved about it was, like Night of the Doctor, it's another clear bridge between the classic and new series eras (keep in mind, it's definitely one hell of a jump if you watch the whole series in order, going from the TV movie to Eccleston's series). It's nice that, after all this time, the gaps between the two are finally being filled in.

I just bought my tickets. Anyone else near Northeast Pennsylvania?
Someone ate your pic, mystima.
I'd be up for getting together sometime. I'm still bummed that I wasn't able to meet up with anyone at the NYC King event, so I'm hoping to take advantage of any other meets in the area.
after watching The Five Doctors and it made me wonder what ever happened to Susan as her fate is never shared or shown
Well, in the audios at least, she was not only reunited with the Doctor once again in his Eighth incarnation on Earth, but also had a son. An Earthly Child is definitely a great listen, as Carole Ann Ford still plays Susan rather brilliantly, and it is great to hear her still refer to the Doctor as 'Grandfather'.

Re watched the 9th's tenure and i noticed that the actress that played Gwen in Torchwood is in one of the episodes
I'm not excited.
Spoiler:
But seriously, I'm not allowing myself to be excited at this point because the amount of excitement I would have would not only cause me to explode - I would implode! I mean, seriously: one of my favourite actors from the past ten years is playing my favourite role! The clips I've seen his Doctor in already have been beyond fucking awesome! I'm not allowing myself to get excited until at most a week in advance!
So in the meantime, I'm doing the best I can to distract myself, with 2000AD, with the writing - both bloggage and other stuff - and of course, with Doctor Who! Specifically, there's a lot of audios that I still need to listen to, so they'll more than keep me distracted in the meantime.
For the record, barring one or two points, I adored Engines of War! It's a wonderful bridge between the classic and new series, and is a great lead in to The Day of the Doctor! George Mann wrote John Hurt's War Doctor perfectly, and I hope he writes more stories about other battles the War Doctor went through, maybe even a story post-Night of the Doctor.

I have been watching some of the Youtube videos of the reactions to various episodes and they are just really hilarious. And for those that like RHPS here is a special piece of the time warp for you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WBqHdI5Bdw
