Lion King = Best animated movie of all time but Eternal Sunshine is without a doubt, my top five favourite movies of all time. So I chose that.

Oh it was alright - probably the worst Frank Darabont movie out of the lot of them, though. Not sure what about it is "Best Movie" let alone "of all time", thats all

Oh, I can understand that. I liked it alot, but wouldn't pick it as best movie. I picked Clockwork Orange for that in this thread.
And MAYBE it was Darabont's worst, but that is worst out of some damned good movies.
I just don't think people are going to be recommending it to their friends in 5 or 10 years

I will be. It's fantastic. Darabont used a completely different style than in his past movies. Instead of heavily pre-planned shots and perspectives they essentially made the whole movie by the seat of their pants. They just had two camera men making up the shots as they went and very few shots were actually planned. Considering they shot the whole movie in a matter of weeks and it was all new to Darabont, I think it deserves major credit.I just don't think people are going to be recommending it to their friends in 5 or 10 years
Also, just found out watching The Salton Sea last night that Darabont produced it, which explains why it was so damn good.
