    Default Maerlyn's Rainbow

Did anyone notice the glowing orbs that are in Southland Tales? If so, did you think that maybe they were an inside nod to Maerlyn's Rainbow? Given Richard Kelly's appreciation of King, I was just hoping.

I'm not familiar with Southland Tales - do you have a screenshot?

I wish I did. I had rented said film, but I will work on getting those shots. Cool?

I think this is what your asking for... i haven't seen the movie but just googled your question
From imdb.com in reference to the glowing orb carried by the doctor... "It is a mechanical ball (built by Treer) which acts as remote antennas for the wireless electricity energy fields powered by Fluid Karma. There are hundreds of these machanical balls buried everywhere in the Southland"

I wonder if King was influenced by those seeing-eye balls in Lord of the Rings - the Pallantirs?
